Community Outreach

In 2021, ALMS provided over 2,000 personal care kits to homeless shelters in the New York Metro ​area during COVID, assembled 700 weekend food packages for children in need, distributed 300 ​financial literacy kits, created 150 early learning kits for daycare centers. Holidays initiatives have ​sponsored over ten families, purchasing, and delivering over 500 gifts to local schools and daycares. ​ALMS had also donated and assembled over 600 clothing and personal hygiene packages. By the ​end of 2023, ALMS expanded it programming through partnerships with Columbia Community ​Service CCS), the nonprofit arm of Columbia University, and the 26th Precinct of the New York ​City Police Department (NYPD). ALMS donated over 400 toys to children in the Morningside ​Heights neighborhood and donated and served a Thanksgiving meal to more than 150 people at ​The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City.

ALMS volunteers came together to prepare supply packages for families and children. Over 4,000 care packages were ​created with various forms of support and aid. These packages were handed over to the United Way of Rockland ​County for distribution.
